$2M Bestway Spa Pump Fire Defect Settlement

Consumers who purchased a Bestway AirJet or HydroJet Spa Pump with model numbers P05332, P05339, P05711, P05807, P07000, P07001, P05511, P07034, or P07572 between May 2021 and May 2024 are eligible.

Proof of purchase (receipts or invoices) is required for class members who no longer have the spa pump and did not participate in the recall.

About This Settlement

Plaintiffs in Armstrong, et al. v. Bestway (USA) Inc. (Case No. 2:24-cv-02812-DMF) alleged that certain Bestway AirJet and HydroJet Spa Pumps are defective and can cause fires. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission warned that the products could cause injuries, leading Bestway to issue a recall in August 2024. Who Qualifies

• You may be eligible to participate in this settlement if you meet ALL of the following criteria:
• You purchased a Bestway AirJet Spa Pump or HydroJet Spa Pump between May 2021 and May 2024
• Your pump carries one of the following model numbers: P05332, P05339, P05711, P05807, P07000, P07001, P05511, P07034, or P07572
• You are a U.S. resident (settlement is nationwide)
• If you no longer have your pump and did not participate in the Bestway recall, you must provide proof of purchase (such as a receipt or invoice)
• Class members who participated in the Bestway recall may be eligible for an additional cash payment
• Class members who received a replacement pump through the recall may also be eligible for a one-year warranty extension

What You May Receive

Eligible class members may receive up to $75 in cash. Class members who participated in the Bestway recall may receive an additional cash payment. Those who received a replacement pump through the recall may also receive a one-year warranty extension, valued at more than $8 million in aggregate across all eligible claimants. Actual individual payout amounts are not guaranteed and may vary depending on the number of valid claims submitted and the specific circumstances of your purchase.

How to File a Claim

1. Visit the official settlement website at SpaPumpClassActionSettlement.com to access the claim form.
2. Complete the claim form in full, providing accurate information about your Bestway spa pump purchase, including the model number and purchase date.
3. Gather and submit any required documentation. If you no longer have your spa pump in your possession and did not participate in the Bestway recall, you must provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt or invoice.
